The Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is almost upon us and as WEST PARLEY CELEBRATES a day of fun and games has been planned for the whole family to make this a very special day. This includes family games in the afternoon, 'come dressed for action,’ a picnic in the park, a Brass band, circus act with jugglers, children’s entertainer and the lighting of a beacon along side councils across the country to recognise and celebrate 70 years of our Queen’s reign. You are all invited to Parley to share this celebration and enjoy your own picnic on the field.

Thursday June 2nd 2022
There will be fun and games for the whole family

1.30pm Family Games begin on the sports field 275 Christchurch Road BH22 8SQ including parachute games, circus skills and family fun Come dress to join in

4pm Face painting and a picnic on the recreation ground bring your own food, drinks will be available

7pm The evenings festivities including
Ringwood Brass Band
Krazy Kev Children’s Entertainer
Slack Rope entertainment and juggling lights

Cake decorating competition
Show off your creativity
Great Prizes for 3 categories, Under 7 years - 8 to 14 years & Adult
Please bring your cakes to the Memorial Hall West Parley by 2pm on June 2nd See newsletter for further information. Please note cakes must be handed in before 2pm

Fancy Dress competition
Dress up as you did in the 50s 60s 70s and each decade through to today.
Prizes will be awarded to the best and most original costumes from the decades. We hope everyone including grandma, grandpa, mum and dad will dress up in fashion from their youth. Families wishing to enter please email John at glenysandjohn72@gmail.com

The evening will conclude with the lighting of a Beacon, a Highland Piper, and the Town crier with three cheers to her Majesty the Queen

As part of the planned events, a photo montage will be screened to reflect the changing 70 years of everyday life in Her Majesty’s long reign in the Memorial Hall.
