Councillor Vacancies,
Come and Join the Parish Council!
Local councillors are the champions of their community who invest time in local projects and issues to the benefit of residents and the neighbourhood. Councillors attend to local needs of residents, local groups and businesses, make decisions on local services, collaborate with the principal council to adhere to local needs, and progress vital projects to invest in the future of the community.
Parish Council meetings take place monthly on:
Full Council - 3rd Wednesday, Planning Committee - 1st Wednesday, if required. These are public meetings, so you are welcome to come along and say hello.
Our website has lots of useful information, as well as details of the existing councillors and meeting minutes.
Please contact the Parish Clerk if you are interested in becoming a councillor.

Would you like to make a difference on your own doorstep? There are currently 4 vacancies on the Parish Council.
We have been notified by SGN that they are dealing with a gas escape on New Road
Whilst the leak itself is in the verge, the lights are in operation for safety due to its immediate proximity to the carriageway.
Daily site safety and leakage checks will be undertaken, however SGN advise that there will not be a constant presence on site initially whilst resources are mobilised, including specialist equipment being sourced from their Scotland region and a qualified operative to use the equipment from their Solent region.
We have requested the temporary signals are manually controlled all day Monday to Friday; however we do still anticipate disruption at peak times.
For further information about these works, please contact SGN on 0800 912 1700.

We thank those of you who attended the public exhibition on 2nd March to find out more about this development, which was included as part of the Christchurch & East Dorset Local Plan back in 2014.
So that we can represent the views of residents, we welcome your thoughts on the proposals and will be monitoring your comments on the planning application when it is submitted to Dorset Council in the spring.
Here is the Cala Homes development website, which shows the banners that were displayed at the exhibition. There is also an email for questions throughout the process.
